Boxing and FitFight: combat training, no fighting
No fighting, no experience needed, and nobody hits you. What boxing and FitFight classes do for your fitness, and what to expect first time.
Let’s start with the myth that keeps most people away: nobody hits you in these classes. Boxing and FitFight are training sessions, not fights, you learn technique, build fitness and coordination, and collect zero injuries. You do not need experience, a “fighter’s build” or courage. You need to show up.
What the boxing class does
In boxing, led by Makai Robi and Valach Peti, you learn the fundamentals: stance, punching technique, combinations, on the bag and in pad work. Along the way you get one of the hardest cardio workouts a class can give: boxing works the whole body, from shoulders to calves.
And it has a benefit that is hard to find elsewhere: stress relief. After a bad day, thirty minutes on the bag does something the treadmill cannot.
What FitFight does
FitFight is Illés Niki’s class: an intense conditioning workout built on combat-sport elements, punches and kicks. The emphasis is not on polishing technique but on tempo: endurance, coordination and full-body work with a combat flavour. If boxing sounds too technical, FitFight is the easier door into the same world.
Which one to pick?
| Boxing | FitFight | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | technique + conditioning | conditioning with combat elements |
| Tempo | high | high |
| For | people who want to learn to punch | people who mainly want a workout |
There is no wrong answer: many people do both, because they complement each other well.
Your first class
Come in normal training gear, bring water and a towel. Whether you need your own gloves or wraps for a given class, ask the instructor in advance, you will find contact details among our coaches, and reception can tell you after you book. Classes are booked in the timetable; cancellation is possible up to one hour before the class.
After the first session your forearms will be more tired than you expect, the bag punches back, just slowly. By the second class that settles too.
